📱 Activate Apple CarPlay on your BMW together with Video in Motion and Android Screen Mirroring.
This service is designed for BMW F and G Series vehicles equipped with NBT EVO ID5 / ID6 head units (cars manufactured after 07/2016).

⚠️ This service works only for BMW EVO head units.

1️⃣ BMW CarPlay Activation
CarPlay activation is available for BMW vehicles equipped with the NBT EVO ID5 / ID6 navigation system.
Both ID5 and ID6 systems use EVO Navigation Maps.
How to check if your BMW has an EVO unit
Navigate to:
Navigation → Options → Settings → Position & Version History → Version Information
If your system shows EVO Maps, your car is equipped with an EVO head unit.
✔ Activation is possible even if the vehicle does not have a Wi-Fi antenna installed, but a Wi-Fi antenna is required to connect CarPlay.
We can verify whether your unit has a Wi-Fi antenna using the VIN number.
2️⃣ CarPlay Activation Methods
2.1 Activation via USB (Older Firmware)
For firmware versions:
- NBTevo_H
- NBTevo_I
- NBTevo_J
- NBTevo_K
- NBTevo_L
- NBTevo_M
- NBTevo_N
- NBTevo_O
We will send an activation file and instructions via email.
Simply copy the file to a USB flash drive, insert it into the USB port in the armrest, and the navigation system will reboot with Apple CarPlay activated.
2.2 Activation via ENET Cable (New Firmware)
For firmware versions:
- NBTevo_P
- NBTevo_Q
- NBTevo_R
- NBTevo_S
- NBTevo_U
- NBTevo_V
- NBTevo_W
- NBTevo_X
- NBTevo_Y
You will need:
- 🔌 ENET cable (not included / we do not sell it)
- 💻 Mac or Windows 10 / 11 laptop
- 🛡 Firewall and antivirus disabled
- 🌐 Strong and stable internet connection
The activation process takes approximately 2 minutes.
No coding knowledge is required — simply run our Feature Installer following the instructions provided.
3️⃣ CarPlay Full Screen vs Split Screen
Full-screen CarPlay is available starting from firmware version N:

- NBTevo_P
- NBTevo_Q

- NBTevo_W
- NBTevo_Y
- NBTevo_Z
For firmware versions H, I, J, K, L, M only Split-Screen CarPlay is available.
A firmware update is required to enable Full-Screen CarPlay on those versions.
